Sarah Bridal | The Springs Event Venue | Edmond, OK Wedding Photographer | Michelle Valantine Photography

Why schedule a Bridal Session?  Let me count the ways!

1.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a run through of your big day!  You've put hours of thought into the dress, the veil, the shoes, your hair and makeup...now let's combine them all so you can see how they all come together!  Plus, this gives us both a fair idea of how long you'll need to get ready on your wedding day, especially for dresses with tiny buttons in the back!

2.  Allows us time to get to know one another!  The wedding day can be hectic and chaotic, with a packed timeline that generally allows only 15 minutes for me to spend capturing you in your wedding dress.  A Bridal Session allows us at least an hour together, giving me time to be creative capturing more angles and poses of you in your dress, and allows you the opportunity to get comfortable in front of my camera as we work together creating beautiful shots.

3.  You pick the location!  For some brides, they've invested a lot of money into their beautiful venue, and the Bridal Session allows us an opportunity to explore and capture multiple settings that we might not have time to explore on your wedding day.  And for other brides, opting for a different location than the venue, like in a flower garden or in the woods, creates a variety of pictures to compliment her Wedding Gallery.

4.  You can include unique props...like your beloved pet!  I've had several brides who express an interest in having their pet be a part of their wedding day, but for various reasons, are unable to incorporate them.  Your Bridal Session is the perfect opportunity to include a few images with your pet, where the logistics of traveling with an animal can be easier and less chaotic than your wedding day.

5.  So you can display a picture of you in your dress on your wedding day!  Displaying a Bridal portrait at the reception is a long-standing tradition.  You can also give Bridal portraits as gifts to the groom, parents and grandparents.

For Sarah's Bridal Session, we met at The Springs Event Venue located in Edmond, OK, where Sarah and Tanner were planning to marry.  Sarah brought her sister and her mother-in-law, and I brought my Mom, who is also my second shooter and wedding assistant.  For the next hour and a half, we giggled and posed our way through various settings at The Springs.
