When I asked Koby if he had any props in mind, he was truly puzzled with what to bring that wouldn't look corny or silly. I asked him about his interests. One thing he shared with me was that he built a computer from scratch. Wow! We laughed as I brainstormed bringing it with him to his shoot...maybe sitting on a bench with it next to him? Maybe just the mouse? Nope. Neither of us could really envision that looking very cool.
He ended up deciding on the following:
- a book (I asked for one that has touched his heart or impacted his thinking)
- a couple of beanies (says he's rarely been without one since middle school)
- a Pistol Pete figurine (he'll be attending OSU in the fall).
I asked Koby a few questions.
Describe yourself in 3 words: "modest, laid back, caring"
I wholeheartedly agree. When I called the shoot a wrap, we said our "thank you's" and he referred to me as a "Photography Wizard." Wow! That made my entire day! month! year! Words are powerful.
What advice would you give someone going into high school? "Always be on time no matter what, and try to enjoy every second of it, because next thing you know, you'll be graduating."
What are you looking forward to most after graduation? "Getting out into the real world and being treated as an adult."
Koby, if the past is any indication, you've got an amazing future ahead of you. I hope you enjoy creating every minute of it!
