A very special wedding took place on May 19, 2018…besides the one 'across the pond' with Prince Harry and Meghan! After a five-year engagement, Liz and Chris tied the knot at Stillwater Bible Church, where the couple are regular attendees.
If there is one thing we know about Chris, it is that he is persistent. Chris said it took him six months to get Liz to start talking to him after first meeting in a sophomore speech class in college. But from then on, they have become inseparable. Liz shared that Chris proposed to her at Sandborn Lake as they watched the multi-colored Oklahoma sunset disappear. It was an "intimate, private moment…special and perfect." There's no doubt these two were made for each other.
On their wedding day, Liz was stunning in her strapless wedding gown, composed of light and airy tiers of tulle below a perfectly shaped bodice. Her bridesmaids wore romantic, dusty blue chiffon gowns and carried white hydrangeas, while the bride's bouquet included white roses, baby's breath, snapdragons and hydrangeas with blue accent flowers. Chris looked dapper in his royal blue suit, dusty blue tie, and two-tone brown, intricately stitched cowboy boots (the bride had cowboy boots on too).
After they exchanged vows, guests were invited to a reception buffet, the cake cutting, and the first dances. The day was filled with heartfelt moments shared by the people they loved, and before long, the young couple departed amid a throng of well-wishers…headed for a romantic getaway honeymoon to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Wishing you two a lifetime of love and romantic nights watching the sunset by Sandborn Lake!
